My husband (35) and I (29) moved to Florida in late 2009 and are now working on rebuilding our financial life. 2010 was a much better year than I thought it would be for us financially, but 2011 is going to be amazing ( I feel it in my bones).

2011 GOALS:

[ ] Save for 2nd car
[ ] File taxes for 2009
[ ] Change address for pensions
[ ] Consolidate our bank accounts
[ ] Open a high interest acct
[ ] Open an investment account 2K
[ ] Save additional 10K
[ ] Save 10% to retirement
[ ] Pay off larger student loan
[ ] Credit scores up by 50 pts
[ ] Save 1K through couponing
[ ] Earn $500 passive income

2010 GOALS:

We missed 3 goals, which I will carry over as priorities for 2011.

[X] Organise Health Plan
[X] Update Networth report
[X] Create monthly budget
[X] EF to 3 months in USD
[X] Open IRAs
[ ] Save for 2nd car
[X] Extra payments to DH student loan
[X] Obtain CCs to build credit
[ ] File taxes for 2009
[ ] Change address for pension companies

Visual Budgeting

I have be playing around with some ideas to build a budget in excel which can show in various graphical representations how the budget is broken down. I am wondering if anyone here would be interested in such things and if so what they would want included in the file?
